In a significant development aimed at bolstering Canada's agriculture and agri-food sector, Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has taken a groundbreaking step by issuing 600 invitations to apply (ITAs) in the country's inaugural category-based Express Entry draw for agriculture and agri-food occupations.
Candidates vying for these coveted ITAs were required to meet a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 354. The focus of this initiative is to attract skilled talent with expertise in agriculture and agri-food-related professions, including agricultural service contractors, farm supervisors, and retail and wholesale butchers.
