Dubai Firm Retracts False Claims of “Lifetime” UAE Golden Visa for ₹23 Lakh

Dubai, 10 July 2025 — Dubai-based visa advisory company Rayad Group has issued a public apology after promoting a “lifetime Golden Visa” package that UAE authorities say does not exist.

Earlier this week Rayad’s managing director, Rayad Kamal Ayub, told media outlets—including PTI—that foreign nationals could secure a permanent UAE Golden Visa by paying AED 100,000 (about ₹23.30 lakh) through the firm. The statement implied that India and Bangladesh were part of a pilot phase for the supposed programme.

Within hours, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) dismissed the story, stressing that Golden Visa categories, fees and eligibility rules are fixed by federal regulations and processed only through government channels. The authority warned that no consultancy—inside or outside the country—is authorised to guarantee approvals or collect fixed fees for residency.

“These claims have no legal basis,” the ICP said, adding that it would pursue legal action against anyone misrepresenting the scheme.

Rayad Group’s apology

Confronted with the ICP’s denial, Rayad Group released a statement on Wednesday:

• “We apologise unreservedly for the public confusion,” the company said, taking “full responsibility” for the misinformation.

• It conceded that comments made by its managing director were “misplaced” and “contributed to the misinterpretation of our role.”

• Rayad clarified that it does not offer or endorse any “guaranteed visa, fixed-price programme, or lifetime UAE residency product.”
  

The firm now says the quoted fee reflected only its own consulting charges, not an official government tariff.

ICP warns against fraud

The ICP urged prospective residents to ignore rumours of shortcut residency deals and to verify all information on its official website or via its 24-hour call centre (600 522 222). It reaffirmed that:

• Golden Visa applications must be lodged through authorised UAE digital platforms.

• Categories and validity periods are defined by law; no “lifetime” option currently exists.

• Offenders seeking to profit from false claims will face prosecution.
  

What is the UAE Golden Visa?

Introduced in 2019, the Golden Visa grants long-term residency (typically 5 or 10 years) to investors, entrepreneurs, specialised professionals, scientists, exceptional students and humanitarian pioneers. Holders enjoy the right to live, work and study in the UAE without a local sponsor and may renew their visas provided they continue to meet eligibility criteria.

Authorities emphasise that genuine applicants should:

1. Review official eligibility lists and fees on ICP or GDRFA websites.

2. Submit applications only through approved portals or authorised typing centres.

3. Beware of “guaranteed” offers or unusually high consultancy charges.
   

As the UAE tightens oversight of immigration services, the Rayad Group episode serves as a reminder: when a residency deal sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
