IRCC Issues More CEC Invitations in Second Express Entry Draw of the Week

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued 4,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through the Express Entry system in a targeted Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draw.

To qualify for this round of invitations, candidates needed to have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 521 and must have created their Express Entry profile on or before 2:52:14 AM (UTC) on November 14, 2024.

Second Express Entry Draw This Week

This is the second Express Entry draw this week, following a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw held on February 4, where 455 candidates were invited under enhanced PNP streams.

IRCC continues to actively invite skilled workers through Express Entry to meet Canada’s immigration targets for 2025. In January alone, a total of 5,821 ITAs were issued to candidates under CEC and enhanced PNP programs, signaling a strong start to the year for Canada’s immigration system.

What’s Next for Express Entry?

With back-to-back draws in early February, many are anticipating further invitations in the coming weeks as IRCC continues to address labor market demands. Candidates in the Express Entry pool are advised to monitor their profiles and stay updated on upcoming rounds of invitations.
