Great news for internationally educated nurses looking to build their careers in Canada.Canada has officially launched a new federally funded program designed to help foreign-trained nurses integrate seamlessly into the Canadian healthcare system.

The Pre-Arrival and Post-Arrival Supports and Services (PASS) Program, offered by the CARE Centre for Internationally Educated Nurses, is now accepting eligible applicants who want to work as nurses in Canada — completely free of cost.

Who Can Apply?

The PASS Program offers two separate tracks:

Program	Who It’s For
Pre-Arrival	Nurses located outside Canada who have received confirmation of PR.
Post-Arrival	Nurses who are already in Canada and are beginning their settlement journey.

To qualify for either stream, you must:

Have completed a recognized nursing education program (with diploma, certificate, or degree).
Have been approved to immigrate to Canada by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

If you don’t meet both criteria, the PASS program is not available to you — but other resources may be explored.

All mentors have at least three years of work experience in their field.

3. Live & Recorded Webinars

Learn about provincial licensing processes.
Understand the Canadian healthcare system.
Get insights into current job market trends and alternative job roles.

4. One-on-One Case Management

Post-arrival case managers will recommend extra settlement services as needed.
