Express Entry Update: Canadian Experience Class Candidates Invited in Latest Draw

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued 1,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in the latest Express Entry draw targeting Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates. This draw took place on September 3, 2025, and marks the second Express Entry round for the month so far.

To qualify, candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 534 and must have created their Express Entry profile before 8:28 a.m. UTC on August 14, 2025.

Recent Express Entry Activity

This latest CEC draw follows a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw on September 2, which invited 249 candidates with a significantly higher minimum CRS score of 772.Just weeks earlier, on August 19, IRCC held a category-based draw targeting healthcare and social services workers, issuing 2,500 ITAs at a CRS cut-off of 470.

So far in 2025, IRCC has issued 57,069 ITAs through the Express Entry system across a mix of program-specific and category-based draws.

Trends in 2025 Express Entry Draws

In 2025, IRCC has been heavily focused on PNP draws, which account for 16 of the total draws so far this year. The rest of the invitations have been distributed among:

Canadian Experience Class (CEC): 9 draws
French-language proficiency candidates: 5 draws
Healthcare and social services category: 4 draws
Education category: 1 draw
