New Brunswick Issues Over 1,000 Invitations for Provincial Nomination

Fredericton, NB — The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NB PNP) invited a total of 1,052 candidatesto apply for provincial nomination for permanent residence during four draws held between August 11 and 19, 2025. Invitations were issued through both the New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream and the New Brunswick Express Entry Stream.

Skilled Worker Stream Invitations

The province conducted three separate draws under the Skilled Worker Stream during this period, issuing a combined 1,002 invitations.

The cut-off date for all three Skilled Worker Stream draws was August 10, 11:59 PM AST. No cut-off scores were announced.

The Skilled Worker Stream currently operates under three pathways:

New Brunswick Experience
New Brunswick Graduates
New Brunswick Priority Occupations

Express Entry Stream Invitations

In addition, the province issued 50 invitations through its Express Entry Employment in New Brunswick pathwaybetween August 11 and 19. The cut-off date for this draw was also August 10, 2025.

Eligible candidates had to:

Be working full-time for a New Brunswick employer in TEER categories 0, 1, 2, or 3;
Have been employed full-time for the past 12 months in one of these categories; and
Have lived in New Brunswick for at least 12 months.

Exclusions: NOC 42201 (Social and community service workers), NOC 62200 (Chefs).

No cut-off scores were released for this draw.

Year-to-Date Summary

So far in 2025, New Brunswick has issued a total of 3,067 invitations.

The province began the year with a nomination allocation of 1,500. In June, it negotiated an additional 1,500 nomination slots, bringing its total allocation to 3,000 for 2025.

However, provinces often issue more invitations than nomination slots to account for withdrawals, declined invitations, or candidates who do not meet final requirements.
