Skilled Workers and Entrepreneurs Invited in Latest British Columbia PNP Draw

British Columbia continues to welcome skilled talent and innovative entrepreneurs through its latest Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) draw held on October 2, 2025.

This week, the province issued a total of 485 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for provincial nomination across two key immigration categories:

Entrepreneur Immigration

So far in 2025, British Columbia has invited 568 candidates under the Skills Immigration category and 86 under the Entrepreneur Immigration stream.

Skills Immigration Draw: A Strong Comeback

This marks the first Skills Immigration draw since May 8, 2025, signaling renewed momentum in BC’s efforts to attract skilled professionals.

Under this draw, candidates were invited under two selection criteria:

Criteria 1: Candidates earning at least $90/hour or $175,000/year with a job offer under NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3	114
Criteria 2: Candidates scoring at least 140 points under the BC PNP scoring system	360

BC PNP’s candidate scoring system evaluates factors such as:

Education and professional qualifications
Language proficiency
Occupation and work experience
Job offer wage and skill level
Commitment to living and working in BC
Strategic priorities aligned with provincial labour market needs

Entrepreneur Immigration Draw: Encouraging Business Innovation

In addition to skilled workers, 11 entrepreneurs received invitations under the Entrepreneur Immigration – Base Stream, marking BC’s seventh entrepreneur draw of 2025.

To qualify, candidates must achieve a minimum registration score of 115 and meet several eligibility criteria, including:

Minimum net worth: $600,000
Investment capacity: At least $200,000 in a BC business
Business experience:
- 3 years as owner-manager, or
- 4 years as senior manager, or
- A combination of both
Education: Post-secondary credential
Language ability: CLB level 4
Business ownership: At least one-third of the business
Job creation: At least one full-time job for a Canadian citizen or PR
